Fashion magazines play a huge role in the way we cosume fashion, as well as the way it makes us feel about ourselves - in this workshop we're taking the power back! Join The Grey for a chilled, beginner-friendly session of restructuring the fashion magazine and taking up your own space in physical media.

You’ll learn:

  • How to fold your mini zine

  • Collaging techniques

  • Fashion magazine structures + stereotypes

  • A brief history of the zine v. the magazine

CLOTHING REPAIR TECHNIQUES with Saywood founder, Harriet

Learn to mend + extend the life of your clothes in this small-group, hands-on workshop led by Saywood founder, Harriet Saywood-Bellisario.

Bring a well-loved piece back to life as you learn simple, practical techniques including darning, stitching, button attachment, hemming + decorative patching – whether you’re fixing discreetly or turning wear into a feature.

This relaxed session is designed for beginners + improvers alike, with plenty of guidance throughout.

We’re bringing together a super exciting mix of independent designer-makers working slowly + sustainably. Expect small-batch clothing, beautifully constructed everyday staples, statement outerwear, handmade dresses, tailoring, contemporary separates + seasonless wardrobe heroes designed to outrun fast fashion trends.

Alongside garments, you’ll find handmade accessories including silkscarves, hats, bags, belts + jewellery, plus natural fibre pieces, woven textures + one-off designs created with real love + stunningattention to detail.

We’ll also be joined by independent skincare brands formulating in small batches – think botanical face oils, nourishing balms, handmade soaps, bodycare + gentle, plant-led products designed with sustainability in mind.

Everything you’ll discover has been created by practising designer-makers who prioritise quality, thoughtful production + originality to create well-made pieces with timeless personality.

When you visitmake sure you stay + chat with the makers behind the pieces you admire, and take in spectacular performances by grassroots musicians curated by our brilliant music partner, The Sound Sniffer. If you’re feeling creative, our indie fashion zine collaborator, The Grey, is running some incredible workshops throughout the weekend – see what’s on above!

Make sure you leave plenty of time to make a day of it around Coal Drops Yard: the place is packed with brilliant brunch spots + places to grab lunch + dinner, from the street food faves on Lower Stable Street to more established names like Caravan, Dishoom, Lina Stores + El Pastor.

Coal Drops Yard’s Main Yard is a short 7-minute walk from Kings Cross St Pancras station, making this an amazing spot for those coming from both within + outside London.

PARKING
The car park is located on Canal Reach and has 231 public parking bays. There are 10 charging points (7-22w) available for EV drivers + fouraccessible bays on each floor.
