SLOW FASHION FESTIVAL

COAL DROPS YARD N1C, 11AM-5PM

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Come support 60+ indie fashion designer-makers + boutique brands across the weekend + walk away with a wardrobe refresh that’ll have you bagging compliments left, right + centre… And be sure to stick around for an incredible live music showcase by grassroots champion, The Sound Sniffer.

We’re bringing together a super exciting mix of independent designer-makers working slowly + sustainably. Expect small-batch clothing, beautifully constructed everyday staples, statement outerwear, handmade dresses, tailoring, contemporary separates + seasonless wardrobe heroes designed to outrun fast fashion trends.

Alongside garments, you’ll find handmade accessories including silk scarves, hats, bags, belts + jewellery, plus natural fibre pieces, woven textures + one-off designs created with real love + stunning attention to detail.

We’ll also be joined by independent skincare brands formulating in small batches – think botanical face oils, nourishing balms, handmade soaps, bodycare + gentle, plant-led products designed with sustainability in mind.

Everything you’ll discover has been created by practising designer-makers who prioritise quality, thoughtful production + originality to create well-made pieces with timeless personality.

When you visit make sure you stay + chat with the makers behind the pieces you admire, and take in spectacular performances by grassroots musicians curated by our brilliant music partner, The Sound Sniffer.

Make sure you leave plenty of time to make a day of it around Coal Drops Yard: the place is packed with brilliant brunch spots + places to grab lunch + dinner, from the street food faves on Lower Stable Street to more established names like Caravan, Dishoom, Lina Stores + El Pastor.

Other attractions we recommend while you're mooching around Coal Drops Yard are Queer Britain Museum on Granary Square (the UK's first museum of Queer culture, which boasts a fascinating archive AND the world's first virtual reality museum) AND Word on the Water – a beautiful bookshop-on-a-boat offering shelves upon shelves of best-setlling reads.
