– MK [artist-maker] Dec 2019
“One of the best days out i've had with my friends in a long time, from spending the day supporting my partner on her first stall in an art fair to dancing around playing music with my mates - it was just so so good, i am so eager for the next one.”
– JH [PERFORMER] DEC 2019
“The space was very well organised which made it easier to engage with everyone involved in the market (organisers, sellers, customers...). In my perspective this market was the push I needed to encourage me to show my work and be able to sell it. In a community perspective this kind of events are never enough since promotes proximity and solidarity with your neighbor.”
– ARMB [ILLUSTRATOR] DEC 2019
“I thought it was absolutely fantastic. I had no idea just how many artists where living in the area. I was happy to be given the opportunity to support them! Lovely atmosphere and fantastic art and food.”
– NG [performer] Dec 2019
“I think the best thing was having a community event that showcased your neighbour's skills and talents, not only in art and making, but also music and food! It was such a great event, and I really hope it's a recurring event annually or biannually.”
– CK [baker] Dec 2019
“It was such an amazing experience to be involved in the market. it feels like had no stress of getting into the application and get the space and all the stuff(Usually getting into the market type of thing as seller is such a hassle) This event was certainly the centre of community's attention and it was great opportunity to get to know the locals.”
– MN [STREET FOOD TRADER] DEC 2019
“Atmosphere was amazing and well thought through. Really positive experience bringing together small businesses and contributing to local art and craft that and great timing around festive period for all budgets to be able to make a more personalised gift. Will definitely recommend it to people around me :) great afternoon out!”
– AN [VISITOR] DEC 2019

– MB [DESIGNER-MAKER] DEC 2019
“Such a strong feeling of community and support! This outlet for local makers and artists is exciting and rare for the area. Having the opportunity to present work at a low cost and low risk is crucial to helping them grow, gain traction with the community and build a market base. Supporting the Makers Market is direct support for the local hands-on arts community.”
– VRR [maker] Dec 2019
“It was a very well organised event. Very enjoyable. This event could become a very popular attraction for the local community and a lifeline to the arts & crafts community.“
– SG [artist] Dec 2019
“Great vibe. Impressed with how well attended it was for a first outing. This vibrant event was well organised, well attended and provided an enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. The organisers were able to secure acts of a surprisingly high profile so the entertainment was excellent. I personally spoke to almost all the stall holders, part of my purpose in participating, and found them to be very largely satisfied with their day’s experience. For these reasons I commend this event to you and suggest that it would be well worth your continued support.”
– Al Parra [Director, Building BloQs] Dec 2019
“Loved the market, it had an amazing atmosphere from the music to the traders. This market brings the community together, from small traders to exceptionally talented artists.”
– PL [vegan chef] Dec 2019
“This event gave me some faith in humanity at a time when disconnection seems to be commonplace - it provided a sense of pride in the local community by displaying the plethora of talent found locally as well as creating a buzzing atmosphere of celebration and support for makers. I think the prices were very reasonable and the spirit of the event was very refreshing in that it wasn't high risk, instead just a great opportunity for people to have a go at selling their products/services and being able to gauge the desires of customers. The music was a fantastic addition and so was the food and drink.”
– AM [vintage clothes] Dec 2019
"It's a great opportunity to get together and support the community"

“Wonderful way of bringing the creativity and culture of this vibrant community together!”
– ETS [VISITOR] DEC 2019
“This event I felt truly brought together a real array and mix of artists, from North London & outside. For me, I really felt part of the community and such joy being there amongst people I care about, but also meeting new faces aswell, was heart warming. Every piece was magically unique, to an impeccable standard and also affordable, which was so refreshing. There were all types of gifts and also experiences for the spiritual community, and as a person who would tick that box I was very appreciative. It was a fantastic all round day and greatly happy to be a part of it. Thanks so much! 🕊🌷🔮X”
– CP [artist-maker] Dec 2019
“Loved being a part of the market! Was so nice to do something with the community in the winter when everyone usually hibernates, was so well organised and super smoothly ran! After living in the creative community for about 10 years now its super important to have events like this to meet people and show our work and keep it a 'community', Super nice to see sustainable brands and support local businesses too! Thanks so much x”
– NM [creative entrepreneur] Dec 2019
“I loved the Makers' Market, it was well put together and run with an approachable, happy attitude. Any help needed was given and as a trader I couldn't have hoped for more. I'm really looking forward to the next one!”
– CD [creative entrepreneur] Dec 2019
“It was our first market EVER to assess the likeability and openness of a potential customer base. We were floored with the positive feedback and the amount of new followers in our brand new Instagram account. It was a great positive experience that gave us reassurance to pursue our business venture!“
– CA [designer-maker] Dec 2019
“This was more than just a market, it was a community event, bringing music, art and food together and it was a pleasure to be part of it. I think these events will only get better as more people hear about it.“
– BD [designer-maker] Dec 2019
“We're lucky to live where we do, with access to a community and live events. What most people don't realise, and take for granted, is that building community and organising events takes a lot of work and the dedication of a few mad individuals to make them happen. Fi is one of those and we're lucky to have her.”
– AP [visitor] December 2019
“As a trader and a customer, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the market held in December, 2019. It was a brilliant way of bringing people together, while helping the community through food, art & culture.”
– R [STREET FOOD TRADER] DEC 2019
“It was a brilliant event with a very special vibe. The event was well put together as it crossed shopping, food and drink, music so created a space where you could meet new people, find out more about what’s going on the community whilst also spending money on locally produced products. I loved the first makers market. I went home with some unique items made by local artists and met some incredible people. It’s rare to find such authentic, creative spaces in London but they are so important to local economies and communities. The makers market generated an amazing atmosphere where buyers and sellers could meet each other, trade, enjoy some food, have a drink and listen to great music - it felt like a really special event.“
– LN [VISITOR] DEC 2019
“It was my first market and a really positive experience. Fairly priced stalls and considerate for sellers, really well organised and the organisers were great. The other stall holders were lovely and I made some good friends. Such a great opportunity for north London artists and makers, and the creative community. It would be wonderful to do this again please! Thank you.”
– TW [designer-maker] Dec 2019
“FUNDERS! Do not let go of this wonderful event that is the n4 Makers Market! It allows artists to discover their market, how to sell their work at great prices, and create a very interesting network. I look forward to come back!”
– JV [illustrator] Dec 2019
“A great vibe and fabulous showcase of some amazing local talent. Also a great accessible vehicle through which visitors and locals could come into the Manor House community and understand better what takes place there as well as the breath of talent. We hope it was also inspiring for new/young creatives.”
