The event was well put together as it crossed shopping, food and drink, music so created a space where you could meet new people, find out more about what’s going on the community whilst also spending money on locally produced products. I loved the first makers market. I went home with some unique items made by local artists and met some incredible people. It’s rare to find such authentic, creative spaces in London but they are so important to local economies and communities. The makers market generated an amazing atmosphere where buyers and sellers could meet each other, trade, enjoy some food, have a drink and listen to great music - it felt like a really special event.“

Financially the event was worth my time, the stall fee was significantly lower than other and as I made circa £400, the profit was higher than expected and a good outcome seeing that near all of my products sell for under £10. Hope to have more of these events in the community and loved seeing the warehouses used and utilised in such a positive way. Was great to see a volunteered event supported by the community and organised and supported so well.”

You could tell a great deal of organisation had gone into the event - organiser was calm and collected and always helpful. The atmosphere was buzzing and convivial. Met some great people and got to know an area of London I didn't know well enough, despite having lived there a couple of years. The amenities were excellent - everything you needed - and I think the event generated a lot of interest, particularly as it took place in an area less frequented by the usual market-goer. Loved the art exhibitions upstairs, and the stalls were all full of creative bits and pieces. A great day out. I'd go again for sure.”
