WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Come down to our ever popular ceramics-only event + pick yourself up a bargainous bit of ceramics art. Alongside a LIVE pottery wheel to have a go on (Saturday only), there’ll be a stunning array of creations by 65 makers at our East London venue on Stoke Newington Church Street – discover one-of-a-kind functional pieces for the home, artful sculptures + even wearable ceramic jewellery, and find yourself affordable gifts conversation pieces from indie ceramicists + studio collectives from all over London + the UK.
We're bringing together a vibrant community of ceramicists offering everything from handmade plates, bowls + platters to coffee cups + giant mugs; sculpture + wall art; jugs, plant pots + tiny decorative vessels; wearables + jewellery trays; fonts + shrines, plus tons + tons more.
When you visit, make sure to leave yourself some time time to stop + chat with the makers behind the masterpieces you see in front of you – a huge part of visiting our fun, welcoming events is enjoying some super fun + memorable connections + coming away feeling topped up + inspired... All, importantly, while buying local + supporting your local creative economy.
Make a day of it around Stoke Newington – there are ton of lovely eateries along Church St for brunch/lunch/picnic food – like Spence Bakery + 13th Floor Coffee – as well as the spectacular Clissold Park + its collection of animalia, which includes goats, birds + a wee small herd of fallow deer. The iconic Abney Park Cemetary – one of London's ‘Magnificent Seven’ garden cemeteries + a woodland memorial park + Local Nature Reserve – is right across the road from the venue, too… One we highly, highly recommend on a visit to Stokey!
